A Comparative Study on Female and Male High School Students¡¯ Drinking Attitude According to Factors of Drinking Related

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences of female and mal high students drinking attitude according to factors of drinking related. For the study purpose, there were 1,385 high school students collected conveniently. The major results are as follows. Male students have more positive attitude for social drinking acceptance & friend¡¯s drinking attitude perceived and there were significant differences between female and male students. Among 5 control variables, sex has positive influence but school type has negative influence to students¡¯ drinking attitude. Friends¡¯ drinking attitude and parent¡¯s drinking attitude perceived are both significant influences to the students drinking attitude. The results of hierarchial regressions to identify differences between female and male students on the social drinking acceptance, friends¡¯ drinking attitude, and parent¡¯s drinking attitude perceived, there is no differences between two groups.
